About Grove Hill Sport Horses

Grove Hill Sport Horses is a professional hunter/jumper training program based at Blue Heron Farm in Poulsbo, Washington. The program is built on a foundation of correct fundamentals, thoughtful horsemanship, and steady development of both horses and riders within a structured, supportive environment.

The perspective behind the program has been shaped by a lifelong commitment to the sport. Raised riding in Chagrin Falls, Ohio—where the roots of American show jumping run deep—Rachel developed her foundation through years of catch riding, coaching, and working within a wide range of programs. She has worked for every opportunity she’s had in the saddle, developing a practical, experience-driven approach to training that emphasizes clarity, rideability, and consistency.

That experience extends beyond the barn. Rachel served in the U.S. Air Force and built a career in healthcare, experiences that shaped a standard of discipline, accountability, and professionalism that carries into the program today.

Grove Hill Sport Horses works with a select group of horses and riders and values consistency, communication, and long-term progress. Horses are developed thoughtfully, riders are supported with intention, and the program is designed to create confidence, capability, and lasting partnerships.

The program is proud to be part of the Blue Heron Farm community and to contribute to its strong culture of horsemanship.
